‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ to Stream on OTT Soon – Expected Release on Independence Day
Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ to stream on Amazon Prime Video; OTT release likely on August 15 after box office disappointment.
Pawan Kalyan’s period action drama 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' set for early OTT release on Amazon Prime Video, likely on August 15.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the pan-Indian film starring Pawan Kalyan, is scheduled to be available on OTT within a month of its theatrical debut. The movie, which debuted on July 24 in theatres, is supposedly on its way to Amazon Prime Video. On August 15, which is Independence Day, streaming is anticipated to start.
The film's poor box office performance is reportedly the reason why the makers are pushing forward with the OTT debut, even though the original intention was for an August 22 digital release. We're still waiting on an official confirmation from the producers.
A Period Drama That Cost ₹250 Crores and Had Trouble at the Box Office
A.M. Ratnam provided funding for the film, which was directed by Krish and Jyothi Krishna and had a huge ₹250 crore budget. Even with its size, the film didn't make much of an impression, earning only about ₹110 crore worldwide after a terrible first run and bad press.
Historical Fiction: Disputation and Criticism
"Hari Hara" Veera Mallu was criticised for using historical elements to support its fictitious plot. The plot centred on a mythical warrior named Veeramallu who defeats Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, and takes back the Kohinoor diamond, giving it back to Golconda. In the name of imagination, the movie promoted communal insensitivity and distorted history, which drew criticism from historians and critics.
